ART COURSES OUTLINE

This is a 5 week course that will introduce the elements of drawing:
Line, Form, Shading. Through various fun activities, the students will
be aware of and engaged in the elements of drawing.
Sketching and Drawing Children / Adults Intermediate
This is a 5 week course that will use the elements of drawing. The
students will go through various drawing exercises and will create their
own drawings. The students will be influenced to use
artistic self critique.
Sketching and Drawing Children / Adults Advanced
This is a 5 week course that will challenge the student to create
projects. The students will use all their experiences in drawing and
apply them to an artistic concept. The students will be challenged to
purposely compose their drawings and communicate to the viewer.
The students will also use self and group critique.
Beginning Oil Painting
This is a 5 week course that will introduce the materials of oil painting.
The course will influence creativity as the colors and brushes are
explored. The students will be influenced to begin to think like an oil
painter, as the course will explain application and method. The
students will be doing various exercises on Form, Proportion, Light,
and Shade.
Intermediate Oil Painting
This is a 5 week course that will continue from the Beginning Oil
Painting course. The students will create oil paintings using still life
and will explore Light and Shade. The students will create their own oil
paintings.
Sculpture
This is a 5 week course on sculpting with clay. The students will be
introduced to clay and the different forms of sculpture. This course will
explain Form and Proportion in sculpting. Relief Sculpting will also be
explored.
